"Total Disaster - the absolute worst"
In Lexington, Kentucky, a store popped up near the campus and immediately, a drug culture took root from the top manager down to the middle managers in each section, including the cashiers. It seemed like every worker was either high or trying to bounce back from their last binge. They would promote prices that were totally off, often for items that weren’t even available. Plus, they had this annoying habit of shutting down around 9:00 PM, even though their hours said 10:00. This meant they’d start getting high and stop doing their jobs, leaving everything from the deli to the meat counter and salad bar out of commission well before closing time. When it came to weighing bulk items, the results were wild. A lot of times, they’d just throw in the towel and make up some random price for whatever groceries the customer could scrounge up. They were downright RUDE to customers -- I mean, one poor guy just wanted to buy some Jordan Almonds right after Easter and ended up in tears, which pretty much sealed the fate of the store that is now, thank goodness, shut down.
